STANDARD FEATURES ON OUR SHEDS

Our standard sheds come unstained with one-inch thick pine board and batten siding, coloured tin roofing, affixed with tin screws, plywood flooring, pressure-treated skis, and two sets of pine double doors or one set of pine double doors and single-person pine doors.  We also include house wrap in all of our sheds. In addition, our mini-cottages also come standard with a four-foot porch and three screened single-pane windows.

Our tin roofing comes in various colours, including, but not limited to, Black, Brown, Green, Blue, Red, Grey, White, and Galvanized.  

All of our sheds meet the requirements of the Ontario Building Code and we can provide you with professionally prepared drawings for building permit requirements. 

AVAILABLE OPTIONS

Screened single-pane windows can be added. Our 24 x 27 is priced at  $100.00 per window. You decide on the placement of all doors and windows.

Other options include shingled roofing, vinyl siding, kiln-dried Dutch lapping, kiln-dried log style pine siding, full log, tin siding, ramps, insulated exterior doors including patio doors, double pane windows, insulated flooring, 7/16" OSB, insulated interior walls, insulated ceiling, finished flooring, interior walls, and ceiling.  Pricing is available upon request.

SITE PREPARATION

All of our units are built on pressure-treated skis.  As a result, they are portable and easy to place, and airflow under the unit is increased, thereby extending life expectancy as the unit never makes direct contact with the ground.  Expensive ground preparation is not required, generally, all that is needed is a gravel base, or 12" x 12" patio stones can also be used as a base.  If you have to obtain a building permit, please check with your local municipality to see what they require for the site preparation as this may differ from one municipality to another.

EXTERIOR WOOD OPTIONS

If left untreated, the pine exterior will blacken over time.  If this is not the type of look you want for your unit, the exterior can be treated with a stain or linseed oil mixed with varsol.  The exterior should be treated at least every three years to maintain the desired appearance.  We offer a wide array of exterior colour stains for you to choose from. Our preferred stain is Sikkens SRD RE which is a reduced emissions stain. Please inquire about pricing.

DELIVERIES

Below are a few things you will need to take into account when expecting a truck/trailer delivery.

• Your driveway must be a stone base or free of mud that would cause the delivery vehicle to get stuck
•  An area 2 feet wider than the width of the structure and 15 feet high.
•  All turns must be cleared for maneuver of the truck and trailer.
•  The site must be clear of trees, tree limbs, etc. within the delivery area.
•  Adequate room in front of the structure for the truck to pull straight out after delivery is required. This distance varies with the length of the building: approximately 50 feet to 150 feet; this will vary from one site to another.
•  The desired position of the build on the trailer should be stated before delivery. For example, should the doors be facing forward or backward on the trailer? 

If you are concerned about delivery, a site visit is recommended. A site visit fee may apply depending on your location. Contact us for more information We normally allocate 1 hour for deliveries. Deliveries that exceed the allocated time will be charged at a rate of $150.00 per hour.

The safety of our staff and our equipment is of the utmost importance to us. For this reason, we reserve the right to cancel scheduled deliveries due to inclement weather and unsafe delivery conditions. 

Generally, the unit will be ready for delivery within approximately 4 weeks from the date we receive a deposit. However seasonal demand and unforeseen circumstances may delay deliveries.   We deliver to  Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall, Arnprior, Ottawa, Rockland,  and Cottage Country.  We will deliver free of charge to many local areas, please contact us for delivery information and rates.
